In this post, I’m going to show you 5 little healthy habits that can help to make being healthy easier and sustainable
When we are trying to reach new health and wellness goals, I think it can be helpful to focus on small simple changes that will make the job easier and sustainable. Some of these tips may seem simple but after a few weeks of doing them you will see a huge difference in your health and energy.
Here are five simple things that I do to ensure I stay on track. Nourishing and taking care of our bodies is so important and it will make you feel amazing too!
5 EASY HEALTHY HABITS
1. EAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST
Eating a nourishing healthy breakfast really sets you up for the day. Meaning you will be less likely to crave unhealthy junk foods.

2. DO MEAL PREP ONCE A WEEK
I like to batch make certain foods each week so that I always have something healthy on hand. Sometimes life can get crazy and when you’re having a busy week it’s all too easy to reach for something quick and convenient that isn’t always healthy.
I like to batch cook on Sunday and make sure I have something healthy and sweet, some lunch and dinner options always ready for when I need them.

3. DRINK A GLASS OF WATER BEFORE EVERY MEAL
Everyone needs to drink more water, we all know it but so many of us still do not drink enough. Drinking a big glass of water before every meal will not only help you get in your water intake but it will also help you feel fuller.
Water is also necessary for digestion, mental health, and removal of toxins. It helps to keep the skin clear and glowing and your hair healthy and strong.
In the morning I like to add lemon, mint and sometimes even ginger to my glass of water for an extra boost.
4. AVOID BUYING JUNK FOOD
When you are trying to get healthier sometimes it’s too easy to be tempted by junk food. Avoid keeping sweets, chocolate or anything else that may tempt you around your home. Instead stock up on healthy snacks such as nuts, snack bar, fresh fruit and nut butters.
5. MOVE MORE
Find time to be more active during the day. Take the stairs and even a lunch time walk can be beneficial. Walking for twenty minutes during your lunch break when you would normally sit down will soon add up.
