8 Tips to have a Healthy Week

10 tips for a healthy weekIt’s not always easy to stay healthy during busy times. Whether you’re working nine-to-five or travelling the world, here are some easy ways to help you feel more energised, nourished, glowing and have your best week ever.

1) GET ENOUGH SLEEP

A goods night’s sleep is essential to good health. This is time for your body to recover and replenish. Over time a lack of sleep will not only affect your performance but your looks.

Make sleep a priority in your life and make bed time fun. Light a candle with a relaxing scent, put on some comfy pyjamas’s, and do something that helps you unwind like a hot bath, reading a book or watching a TV.


2) MINIMIZE SCREEN-TIME

Take time away from your phone and social media and be present in each moment. Spend some time with family and friends, read a book and focus on your goals.

3) DRINK LOTS OF WATER

We all know how important it is to drink your water. If your struggling to get yours in, find a herbal tea you enjoy and have a few mugs a day. Or try adding fruit to your water to make it more exciting. Cucumber and Mint tastes really nice in water too.

4) GET OUTSIDE 

Nature is healing. I love being outside and find it so peaceful and calming. Wrap up and take a walk somewhere you’ve never been before. It’s also a great way to have a catch up with friends. Plus it’s an easy and affordable way to get some exercise in.

5) EAT TO NOURISH

Eat food that will make you feel and look great. Plan in advance some lovely nourishing meals and get excited to enjoy them. Prepare a batch of healthy snacks on the weekend, so you always have something healthy at hand. Why not try Strawberry Oat Flapjacks.

6) CULTIVATE GRATITUDE

Gratitude is such a powerful tool. Stop thinking of what you need to be happy and appreciate what you have now. Happiness is a choice. We all have our ups and downs, but stopping to reflect on your blessings can completely shift your perspective.

7) FIND A POSITIVE OUTLET

Whether it’s a, cooking, reading, walking or music, find something that you enjoy and find the time to do it,

8) DO SOMETHING FUN

Lastly, have fun. Life is short! Have a laugh with friends, watch a funny movie, go on a new adventure, jump in the ocean, go for a drive, listen to good music – you name it. This one is short but sweet – enjoy life, you deserve it

9) GET MOVING

Moving your body is so good for you and you’ll get a happiness boost from all the endorphin’s. Find something you enjoy and do it a few times a week. Whether it’s taking a class, working out at home or going for a run in your local park, learn to love taking care of your body.

    Eat to nourish is very important, we should be taking care of our bodies by filling it with nutrients and vitamins.
