Apple Pie Porridge Recipe. A healthy and delicious breakfast that tastes just like apple pie!.
Today I am combining two of my favourite things. Apple pie and porridge!
As soon as the weather gets colder I always crave porridge for breakfast. Porridge is the perfect breakfast for autumn, warm, nourishing and energising. I look forward to it every morning.
This apple pie porridge tastes just like autumn. Like eating dessert for breakfast, how can you go wrong!
This apple pie porridge recipe has cooked softened apples, warm gooey dates, creamy almond butter and crunchy chopped nuts and coconut flakes.
I absolutely love this. It’s thick, creamy, flavourful and so satisfying. The texture of the apples, chopped nuts and coconut flakes is divine. A drizzle of almond butter makes this extra creamy. Plus it’s only sweetened by dates.
It makes the house smell amazing and is a powerhouse of nutrition. Oats provide fibre and sustained energy whilst the chopped nuts, and almond butter add a hit of protein to keep you nice and full. And you even get one of your five a day!
Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I think it’s well worth the extra time to make it extra special. I also think this would be perfect for when you have guests stay over or for lazy weekend mornings. Plus as this is dairy free, vegan, and gluten free all can enjoy.
