This coconut cherry banana bread recipe is not only vegan and gluten-free, but it’s grain-free! Made with coconut flour and banana, this sweet bread is wholesome and nutritious!
There are so many sweet banana bread recipes going around. I wanted to make one that ticked all the boxes, this is paleo, gluten free and vegan. This is fluffy, moist, light and bursting with juicy cherries.
This cherry coconut banana bread not only tastes great but is full of amazing good for you ingredients too. Like banana, flax seeds, and cinnamon. So simple to throw together and full of flavour.
Tastes great on it’s on or with your favourite nut butter, jam or spread. I also tried toasting this before spreading with maple syrup and it was so delicious! Enjoy as an afternoon pick up, on the go breakfast or a healthy dessert.
Coconut flour may be a bit more pricey then usual flours, but a little really goes a long way, in this coconut bread recipe only 1/2 a cup is needed, as it’s super absorbent. Coconut flour is my favourite gluten free flour and I love the way it tastes in baking.
Coconut and cherry works perfectly together in this sweet bread, I think you will love this.

Recipe- Cherry Coconut Banana Bread Recipe
- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 2 flax eggs/ eggs
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon pink salt
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 cup pitted cherries
- Pre heat oven to 180c/360f
- Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl
- In a separate bowl mix the wet ingredients.
- Combine the wet with the dry ingredients and fold in the cherries
- Pour into a loaf tin and bake for 45- 50 mins
