Cherry Smoothie Bowl for a healthy and delicious dessert or breakfast.
Today I started my morning with this vitamin and nutrition bomb! I have been loving making refreshing smoothie bowls for breakfast when the weather is lovely and warm.
I have also been obsessed with cherries and have been having them everyday. But my favourite way is this creamy and refreshing smoothie bowl. I topped mine with fresh cherries, coconut flakes and cacao nibs but add anything you like!
Health Benefits of Cherries– anti-inflammatory and antioxidant to help keep your skin clear and smooth. Rich source of phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Cherries also contain zinc, iron, potassium, and manganese; and a good source of copper.
I also added maca which I take everyday but this is optional. I highly recommend taking maca though as it helps to balance you hormones and I have seen a massive difference in my mood and skin since I started taking it. I will be doing a full blog post on the health benefits of maca and why I choose to take it everyday so stay tuned on that. - 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup frozen cherries
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp maca
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth
- Transfer to a bowl and add your favourite toppings
- Suggested toppings, fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, granola, coconut flakes, goji berries, nut butter and cacao nibs
