Chia Overnight Oats with Chocolate and Strawberry for an easy, plant based and gluten free breakfast
For the past two weeks straight I have been on a overnight oats kick for breakfast. Overnight oats are so creamy, delicious and require minimum effort to make when I’m busy. They are perfect for summer too, when I don’t always feel like something warm in the morning.
I tried adding chia seeds to my overnights and it instantly became my favourite way to enjoy them. They not only make the texture perfect, but they also add some plant based protein too.
The flavor combo and consistency so good and the healthy fats and nutrients in this bowl left me full and satisfied in the best way possible.
For toppings I went for the classic combination of strawberries and chocolate. I added some coconut flakes for added crunch too. This combination was amazing, these overnight oats tasted just like cake. For the chocolate sauce I used Sweet Freedom Choc Shot

Recipe- Chia Overnight Oats with Chocolate and Strawberry for a delicious plantbased and gluten free breakfast
- ½ cup old fashioned oats
- ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk (any milk will work)
- 1/4 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon maca powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Optional for topping
- sliced strawberries
- Choc Shot
- coconut flakes
- Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix until fully combined
- Cover and place in the fridge overnight
- The next day give the mixture a stir, add a little bit more almond milk if required and add your topping.
