Chocolate Cherry Smoothie
Chocolate and cherries, a flavour match made in heaven!
Not only is this chocolate cherry smoothie heavenly smooth, thick and super delicious, but it is also very nutritious and full of nutrition. It’s full of powerful antioxidants, dietary fibers, vitamins, minerals and plant-based proteins, making it very nourishing and amazing for your health.
Sweet cherries, banana, almond butter and cacao are blended with almond milk to create this healthy, rich and yummy smoothie. It will leave you feeling amazing, full and energised. Cacao not only gives the delicious chocolate flavour, but it is also a natural mod booster, and full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. I used a bit of maca too for it’s hormone balancing properties, but this is optional.
Cherries contain lots of dietary fibers and vitamins such as vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B6, and also many essential minerals, like potassium, calcium, iron, and magnesium. That’s why cherries are not only amazing for your health, but they make your skin glow too.
Almond butter contains healthy fats and plant based protein to keep you fuller for longer, and adds to the creaminess!
This smoothie is great for breakfast, as a snack, or even in the evening. The cherries and cacao help with full body relaxation, and muscle recovery, making this great post workout too.

Recipe- Chocolate Cherry Smoothie
- 2 cups of frozen cherries, pitted
- 1 banana
- 1 cup almond milk (more or less depending on desired consistency)
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp maca powder (optional)
- 2 tbsp cacao (cocoa powder will work too)
- Simple add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth
