A creamy green pea dip full of flavour. Easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
I made this pea dip completely on a whim one night, when I wanted to add a bit more excitement and flavour to dinner. I just threw a few things from cupboards together and hoped for the best. I was so happy with the results that I decided I had to write it up and share it.
The sweetness of the peas with the spice of the chilli flakes, cumin, coriander and black pepper work so well together. This green pea dip tastes amazing with chips, but also with crudités, crackers, nachos or even on rye bread.
It’s so yummy and creamy and works with everything. The best part is that it’s simple and quick to make, simply add all the ingredients to your blender, blend until smooth and you’re done. Perfect for jazzing up a boring meal and adding some flavour.
Peas not only taste great but they are amazing for the body, a very good source of vitamin K, manganese, dietary fibre, vitamin B1, copper, vitamin C, phosphorus and folate. They are also rich in vitamin B6, niacin, vitamin B2, molybdenum, zinc, protein, magnesium, iron, potassium and choline. This recipe is paleo, diary free, gluten free and suitable for vegans.
I’ve made this again and again and I think it makes a great alternative to hummus. Can be served cold, but I like to warm it up before serving.
Now the colder weather is here I don’t always want to eat salad, I crave something warmer and heartier. I love making veggie dips like this that are delicious and a good way to get my veggies in!
