Healthy and Delicious Peanut Butter Smoothie.
This morning I made this absolutely delicious peanut butter smoothie which tasted like heaven! So much like a milkshake!
This peanut butter smoothie is refreshing, energising and full of so much nourishing goodness. It will make you feel amazing and leave you glowing!
It is sweet, creamy, vegan and gluten free. This really helps to satisfy sweet cravings too.
I placed my bananas in the freezer overnight for extra creaminess but this is totally optional. Then I added some cinnamon and dates that give it a really nice flavour combined with the peanut butter.
I also added a small amount of Lucuma and Maca powder for an extra nutritional boost but again this is totally optional.
Lucuma- High levels of beta carotene which promotes cell repair and growth for beautiful skin. Gives food a fruity sweet taste. Rich in antioxidants to prevent disease and slow the ageing process. Contains lots of calcium, zinc, iron, vitamin C, niacin (B3), and fibre. It also contains 14 essential trace minerals.
Maca- rich in vitamins, B, C, and E. It also provides calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids. Maca is also amazing for balancing hormones and preventing acne.
Recipe- Healthy Peanut Butter Smoothie for an energising pick up any time of the day.
- 1 large ripe banana, peeled, sliced and frozen
- 2 Tbsp natural creamy peanut butter
- 2-3 dates, pitted
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp lacuma powder (optional)
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Can be enjoyed straight or cooled even more in the fridge before enjoying.
