Why i start each day with citrus water

I’ve recently got into the habit of starting my day with citrus water, and I am loving the results so far! Some days I just squeeze the juice of a lemon into a mug of hot water. Other days I make a huge pitcher of water containing various sliced citrus fruits and have a glass first thing then enjoy the rest throughout the day. It’s so delicious and a great way to get in your water intake!

I have noticed to many positive changes doing this, that I wanted to share this with you all.

This is a super simple habit, that can have a big impact on your health and give you the most gorgeous skin!

Why i start each day with citrus water


The body loses a lot of water during sleep, when you wale up you haven’t been drinking for typically eight hours. Having citrus or any kind of water first thing before eating, helps the body re-hydrate and gets your body and mind going.

Vitamin C

One lemon contains 187% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin c and you can get it all in before breakfast 🙂 This is amazing for your immune system, skin and overall health.

Energy Boost

Citrus water is a natural energy boost, it hydrates and refreshes the body leaving it revitalised.

Balances ph Levels

Although citrus fruits are highly acidic they are really alkalising to the body, helping it remain in a alkaline state. This rids the body of inflammation leading to less illness.

Improves Digestion

Citrus fruits can improve digestion by removing toxins from the body, this cleanses the liver and helps keep your skin clear. It also helps assists with bloating.

Skin Health

Helps maintain beautiful skin as it promotes collagen building, fighting ageing and making your skin beautiful. Also aids in keeping your skin clear and blemish free!
