Happy New Year, everyone! A new year, a new chance to grow into the person you’ve always wanted to be.
Resolutions may be cliché, but I think they are also incredibly helpful. You are taking the time to reflect on where you are in your life, where you want to grow and progress, and where you might need to change things up.
However, I think a resolution mistake we are all guilty of, is making resolutions that are too difficult to reach!
Instead of strict and specific resolutions, I like to think about my plans, some aspirations, some goals, some things to look forward to.
You already know I am a advocate of everything in moderation whilst at the same time living life to the fullest and not being to hard on ourselves after periods of over indulging. A healthy lifestyle is so much more then just a ‘clean diet’ and lots of trips to the gym. For me a healthy lifestyle includes a positive mind, eating lots of nourishing and satisfying food and exercising because I want to, not because I feel like I have to.
I also want to get to bed earlier each night to ensure I get my full eight hours in as well as spending more time just relaxing. It’s the small steps we take that make the biggest difference over time.
We all want to be happier, more positive and healthier, but sometimes the fastest and the most effective route is to slow down and invest in ourselves.
Taking time for yourself is so important and I think we should never feel guilty for taking some ‘me time’. I find it incredibly rejuvenating to just spend time alone doing something as simple as even a face mask. When I properly take care of myself I find I have lots more positive energy to put back into my family, friends, and career.
I think everyone has travel more on their New Year Resolution lists. There’s something about travelling to somewhere away from home to think, reflect, observe and learn new things – from culture, food, history. This year I already have lined up a trip to Paris, Spain, New York and Mexico for our honeymoon! Plus I hope to travel a lot more around the UK too.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
The most important resolution for me this year is to make a real effort to spend more interrupted time with Marius, my family and friends. To work on slowing down and living in the moment. I am often guilty of forgetting to hit reply and leaving the phone call until the next day.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL MAY 2018 SPARKLE AND SHINE AND BE FILLED WITH LOVE, HAPPINESS AND LIGHT.
So these are my goals and aims for the New Year, I hope you enjoyed hearing about them.
Do you set New Years Resolutions? What are your New Years Resolutions for 2018? Would love to know your thoughts about this.
