Skillet Peanut Butter Brownie Recipe for a delicious Vegan+ Gluten Free dessert
This Skillet Peanut Butter Brownie is dense, fudgy, gooey, chocolatey. All the things a brownie should be! It’s got the added bonus of being gluten free, grain free refined sugar free, and vegan!
Recently when I was out to dinner I spotted a skillet brownie on the menu and of course I had to try it.It was incredible and I couldn’t wait to make my own healthy version!
Recipe- Skillet Brownie Recipe for a delicious Vegan + Gluten Free dessert
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 medium banana mashed
- 1 tablespoons instant coffee (optional but really enhances the chocolate flavor)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- ¼ cup unsweetened cacao
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Preheat oven to 325ºF / 150ºC
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk.
The batter will be extremely thick
- Transfer batter to a greased skillet
Bake for 15 minutes.
The brownies will appear wet and gooey but the skillet retains heat for a very long time and brownies will continue to cook.
Garnish with ice cream, chocolate syrup, seeds, goji berries, coconut flakes
- Can be served warm or cold
