Today I am sharing a new sweet banana bread recipe… spiced cinnamon raisin. I love this flavour combination, so yummy! Spiced with autumn flavours, this makes your kitchen smell amazing. This cinnamon raisin banana bread has had a healthy makeover. Made, with, banana, oats and eggs, this is a perfect mix of healthy fats, slow released carbs and protein! Gluten free and can be made vegan by subbing the eggs for flax eggs. I have tried both ways and they both came out perfect.

Even though this is quick and simple to make, I think this is perfect for entertaining. Also makes a delicious breakfast, afternoon snack or for those tea and cake moments.

Tastes great on it’s own, but I like to toast mine and top with nut butter and fresh fruit, so good!

Spiced Cinnamon Raisin Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 3 eggs / flax eggs at room temperature
  • 2 tbs coconut oil melted & cooled
  • 1/2 cup nut butter butter (I used almond)
  • 1 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 cups oat flour
  • ½ cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Pre heat oven to 350f / 175c
  2. In a bowl mix the wet ingredients together
  3. In a separate bowl mix the dry together
  4. Combine the wet with the dry and stir until fully mixed
  5. Pour in a prepared loaf tin
  6. Top with extra chopped nuts
  7. Bake for 40 minutes
