Summer Berry Smoothie Bowl Recipe, for a healthy and nourishing breakfast, snack or dessert.
I have been loving smoothie bowls now the weather is warmer. They are so delicious and refreshing and an amazing way to get lots of beautifying fruit and vegetables.
I use frozen berries and banana to make this extra creamy and more ice cream like. So delicious and refreshing!!
The main reason I like to regularly have smoothie bowls is that they are amazing at keeping the skin clear if you suffer from breakouts or other skin concerns. I have very sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. But when I eat lots of good food, my skin is generally pretty clear.
Here’s the breakdown of the skin benefits in this smoothie bowl.
Mixed berries– contain lots of fibre, vitamin C, folate, and antioxidants to help keep the skin clear and glowing
Spinach– Any type of greens are one of the best things you can consume for health and beautiful skin. I love spinach as you cant taste it at all once blended in with fruit. Spinach is an amazing source of iron, folate, chlorophyll, Vitamin E, magnesium, Vitamin A, fibre , protein, and Vitamin C. Due to their antioxidant abilities, Vitamins C, E, and A are especially great for your skin.
Maca– I’ve mentioned before that I take maca everyday. I find it makes a huge difference in my skin, energy and mood. It contains iron and iodine which helps to balance hormones which prevents hormonal acne. It also contains manganese and zinc, which help to with healing and your immune system, meaning that breakouts clear up faster.
Basil– Basil is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antioxidant helping to reduce redness in the skin and working to prevent breakouts.
