Today I am back with another smoothie bowl recipe. This time a detox smoothie. This is a delicious way to detox and is so easy to add in to your routine as a snack, dessert or even a dessert.
This is a great smoothie recipe for those who are a little nervous about drinking a bright green substance. Although this is a great way to get in your leafy greens, the fruit in this makes it really sweet and enjoyable.
I’ve chosen ingredients that not only taste great but also help the body detox naturally. The benefits are listed below.
Kale- loaded with vitamins A, K, C, E, B6, and B2. Kale is also an excellent source of dietary fibre, calcium, potassium, and iron. Kale is a great detoxifier due to it’s high fibre and sulfur content, which helps keep the body and lover healthy. Kale also contains more calcium then milk so is a great way to your calcium in if your dairy free.
Kiwifruit – is a superfood rich in vitamins A and E which help reduce free radicals, they also help flush out toxins from the colon. Kiwi’s also promote healthy cells and a strong immune system.
Mango – is packed full of enzymes that help break down protein. They are also rich in fibre that aids in digestion.
Spinach – contains a massive 166 milligrams of glutathione per serving when eaten raw, when cooked all of this goes away. Glutathinoe is a powerful antioxidant and detoxifier. Spinach also contains lots of energy boosting iron.

- 2 kiwifruits, peeled
- 1 mango, cored and peeled
- 2 cup kale
- 1 cup spinach leaves
- 1 cup almond milk
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smoothe.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with all your favourites
