I’m not even going to lie, I have a lot of skin care products and I love them all and each serves a different purpose. I love experimenting and trying new products so my collection is ever growing.
However, today I wanted to share my all time favourites that make the most difference in my skin. I have repurchased all of these items several times and always use regularly in my skincare routine.
I have oily skin prone to enlarged pores and breakouts and have found that these products really help to reduce oil, imperfections and make the skin really glow and look smooth.
p.s This is going to be a long post as I wanted to provide in depth reviews with as much information as possible. Grab yourself a hot drink and maybe a healthy chocolate biscuit (or two!!) and enjoy.
I was pretty late to try this, mainly due to the hefty price tag. But I heard so many glowing reviews and it became a cult product for many celebrities and bloggers that I decided I had to try it out. Sunday Riley is a cruelty free brand that does not advocate animal testing which is a massive bonus for me.
This is a leave on treatment that exfoliates, plumps, improves radiance and boosts circulation. It’s a hard working AHA exfoliant. This is very strong so if your using chemical exfloliants for the first time or have sensitive skin I would use a small amount the first time trying.
I use this once or twice a week under an oil or moisturiser, letting it dry completely before adding anything else to my skin. It has a fresh, citrus smell which I really like. This products is my favourite in my skin care routine as it just makes my skin look better. It leaves an exceptional non-oily glow and it’s effect is immediate, you just wake up to the most beautiful skin.
It makes my skin looks super smooth and has helped with skin pigmentation, scarring and imperfection. The best part is the glow, it makes the skin look so radiant without looking shiny. After prolonged use I noticed my pores are a lot cleaner and appear smaller.
I couldn’t recommend this product enough, it’s my ultimate favourite skin care product and think it’s perfect for someone concerned with the texture of their skin or pigmentation and scarring issues or for anyone who wants a powerful product to improve the overall appearance of their skin. This is a really pricey product but it one lasts me for over 2 months and I think it’s well worth it for beautiful skin.
I love a product that actually works. And just like the Sunday Riley Good Genes, the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Cocentrate does exactly what it says it will. I am late to the game again with reviewing this. This is another product I purchased after reading countless reviews from beauty bloggers I trust, and oh my! They did not fail me.
I adore this stuff and it quickly became a staple in my skin care routine.
The Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate is an overnight elixir that works to replenish your skin with moisture. It’s bursting with skin loving ingredients like Squalane, Omege-6 fatty acids, lavender, and evening primrose oil. The oil itself is quite thin and silky, easily absorbing into the skin. It’s botanical lipid is similar to the molecular structure of natural skin lipids so it mixes well with your skins natural oils.
I use 2 drops (you can use more if you have dry skin) of this after cleansing and massage it into my face. I do this a few times a week and when I wake up my skin is radiant, smooth and soft. The best thing about this product is the effect it has on the texture of your skin, you can definately see a difference on the days you’ve used this compared to the days when you didn’t. It also helps calming down red skin and makes you look well rested and glowing.
For me this is 100% worth the price tag.
I have used this consistently and have only used a tiny bit. A little goes a long way here. I also love the packaging of this, it looks super pretty in my bathroom. Using this feels like a special luxurious treat with the most divine smell. As it contains lavender it’s a really calming scent and perfect before bedtime.
At £49 this is pricey but absolutely worth it if you like the way it sounds. It’s suitable for all skin types and I think you will fall in love just as I did.
The Malin + Goetz sulphur paste is another cult product with a cult following including Millie Mackitosh, who actually posted a very brave shot of herself on her instagram with this delightful product dotted on her face. This is a super effective spot cream that works wonders. Not something I use every day but an absolute life saver when my skin breaks out. This is a drying treatment, you use overnight. You dab a bit onto the problem area using a cotton bud and it works overnight to reduce the breakout. Sulphur is amazing when used on breakouts and you can really feeling it working to dry up the imperfection.
This has worked wonders on my blemishes and leaves the treated area incredibly smooth and visibly lightened. This is a great product to have in your cabinet to use when a breakout surfaces unexpectedly. This is the best spot treatment I have used and I always repurchase. It’s pretty reasonably priced and it lasts for a really long time.
REN is a lovely brand, I’ve tried many products and could do a rave review on the brand itself. However today I will share my all time favourite cleanser.
All REN products contain no parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, petrolatum…etc. And are formulated with floral extracts and rich essential oils This cleanser is no different has the most beautiful floral scent of roses. I use this cleanser after removing my makeup with micellar water. It’s wonderfully soft and not harsh or stripping, cleaning the skin without any residue. It’s fresh and leaves you skin incredibly soft whilst soaking up oiliness. This leaves my skin feeling really supple with no tightness.
As you can probably tell I’m really passionate about skin care. Let me know if you would like see more posts on what else I do for my skin e.g diet, face masks etc.
I hope you found this information helpful my lovelies! Feel free to leave your favorite skin care products or tips below in the comments. It’s always nice hearing from you. Hope you’re all having a fab weekend! XOXO
