It’s definitely winter here in the UK. It’s freezing! You know the kind of weather where you can’t leave the house without being armed with hat, scarf, gloves with takeaway coffee in hand? That kind of weather! Yes winter is well and truly here to stay for a while. I’m quite a motivated person, however the dark mornings and evenings teamed with the cold weather leave me preferring cosy days and evenings in, and working out often falls to the end of my list of priorities.

Try something new that you can get excited for and look forward too. Try swapping the gym for the swimming pool, trying a new class or going for a long walk with a loved one.

We all have busy schedules so any time allocated to your workouts need to be efficient and effective. Planning ahead means you’ll have time to balance your fitness, with work  and social commitments.

Having a gym buddy can be real boost to your fitness motivation. The days you feel like skipping, they will get you out the door. It also makes working out much more fun!

I have spoken before about my love of working out at home. There are so many different workouts available on YouTube that you can do in the comfort  and warmth of your own home. The best part is you get to save time travelling to the gym, which means more time relaxing on the sofa!
