Detox and Rejuvenate Your Body

If you have been a little less than kind to your body lately, then you might be looking forward to a day when you do a reset. Our bodies don’t require a detox, as we are well equipped to shift bad things out of our bodies by themselves.

Although sometimes we need a little extra help from things like ultra klean ultra wash mouthwash, a day of self-care, and a reboot.

Here is how to give your body a day of care and support.

Skip the alcohol

If you are hoping to settle down to an evening with wine and some movies, it is probably better you skip the alcohol for this evening. Our livers can deal with a lot, but giving it a break once in a while – or a permanent break from alcohol is a must.

We often take for granted how much we put our bodies through, and rest can work wonders for us. Taking it slow, sitting, or snuggling down for a while can give your body some much-needed time to work on itself.

And it should go without saying that sleep is amongst the single most important things we can do to feel good.

Sleep deprivation can cause both long and short-term complications, but for a little while, it might feel like you’re tired and grouchy. Over time it increases the risk of diabetes and heart disease. Take a day to make sure you snooze.

If you are in the habit of skipping water and drinking coffee, make your reset day a day of water. Water is the best way to help your body complete all of the processes it needs to, including flushing out nasties.

Cook and eat!

If you have a hardcore junk food addict, it is time to put the menu away and have a day of cooking and eating fresh food – and make sure there are some extra helpings of fresh fruits and vegetables too.

Of course, one day of eating great won’t see you having long-term benefits but it could be the start of a lifestyle change that means you feel better in the long run and won’t need to do another reset day anytime soon.

Hot bath

If you have a bath on your property, it is a good time to take a dip. We hold a lot of tension and stress in our muscles, which can ache and hurt all day long. In combination with not drinking enough water and not resting enough, we can feel a lot worse than we need to. Take some time to soak in a hot bath, and sprinkle in some Epsom salts to help your muscles release tension and relax.

And what better thing to do after a hot bath than lay down and take a short nap or a deep sleep?
