What is vegan fudge made from?
Typical fudge recipes achieves its creamy consistency by being very rich in dairy.
Vegan fudge is easily made by switching out traditional fudge ingredients. Dairy free butter, coconut milk, plant based milks, coconut oil and nut butter or help create vegan fudge.
in this recipe we use nut butter and coconut oil to achieve a creamy fudge.
Chocolate Strawberry Fudge Recipe Substitutions
The cashew butter can be subbed for any nut butter. Almond butter would work well as it has a mild flavour. Peanut butter would work but has a stronger flavour so the fudge will be less chocolatey.
The maple syrup can be subbed for any liquid sweetener such as honey or agave.
The strawberries can be subbed for chocolate chips, cookies pieces, nuts, raisins, marshmallow or candy pieces such as m&ms.
