Simple no bake recipes are my favourite! These chocolate easter nests are made with only 7 healthy ingredients and are ready in 15 minutes! They are gluten-free, dairy-free, refined-sugar-free AND vegan! They also make delicious cookies without the nest and added mini eggs.

They look so pretty on an Easter table or at class parties.

Vegan Chocolate Easter Nests Ingredients

You only need the eight simple ingredients below to make this perfect easter treat.

  • Peanut butter – any nut butter will work
  • Coconut oil
  • Vegan Mini chocolate eggs – Use Cadbury mini eggs if you don’t need this recipe to be vegan
  • Maple Syrup – honey or agave will also work
  • Vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder
  • Oats
  • Shredded coconut 

How to make this Fun Easter Treat

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Combine peanut butter, honey and coconut oil in a saucepan on a low heat and mix until combined.
  3. Add the vanilla and cocoa powder. Stir until well combined.
  4. Add the oats and mix well.
  5. Add the coconut and stir until completely combined.
  6. Drop 1 tbsp portions of mixture onto your prepared baking sheet. Press into a nest shape, you may find it helpful to use a back of a teaspoon for this. Continue until you’ve used all your cookie mixture.
  7. Place in the fridge or freezer until they have set. Top with your little nests with your favourite mini eggs or chocolates.

CHOCOLATE EASTER NESTS TASTY ALTERNATIVES

  • Instead of oats use, fried noodles, dried chow mein noodles, shredded wheat, rice krispies or cornflakes to make Corn Flake Cookies.
  • Alternatively, place the nests a muffin tin with cupcake cases
  • Use white chocolate chips, jelly beans, mini Easter eggs, candy eggs or other Easter candy inside of the nests instead of mini chocolate eggs
  • Use dark chocolate or milk chocolate in place of the cocoa and coconut oil for a more indulgent treat.

How to store Easter Nests

Store your chocolate Easter nests in an airtight container in the fridge, they will go soft at room temperature.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup natural peanut butter
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup oats
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut
  • vegan mini eggs or chocolates for topping

Instructions
 

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Combine peanut butter, honey and coconut oil in a saucepan and heat until combined.
  • Add the vanilla and cocoa powder. Stir until well combined.
  • Add the oats and mix well.
  • Add the coconut and stir until completely combined.
  • Drop 1 tbsp portions of mixture onto your prepared baking sheet. Press into the shape of nests. Continue until you’ve used all your cookie mixture.
  • Place in the fridge or freezer until they have set. Top with your favourite mini eggs or chocolates.
  • Serve cool or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator!
