Apple pie quinoa porridge makes a hearty and delicious breakfast.
Nothing says warm and cozy like this bowl of hot quinoa with sweet apples, cinnamon and maple syrup. This gluten-free, vegan, and refined sugar-free quinoa bowl is filled with nutrition.
This really is delicious and is incredibly nutritious with tons of fibre and protein. Quinoa has about 9 grams of protein per cup and is considered a “complete” protein, because it contains all the essential amino acids. Quinoa will also give you a hit of iron, folate and calcium.
Apples are high in fiber which helps keep digestion healthy. They are also detoxifying and they help boost your immune system.
It makes a nice change from the usual porridge oats if you are looking to mix up your breakfast. This recipe is easy to throw together, all you need to do is throw a few basic ingredients in a sauce pan, turn on the heat, and your kitchen will smell like apple pie as it cooks!

Recipe- Apple Pie Quinoa Porridge. Vegan + Gluten Free
- 1/2 cup quinoa
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk
- 2 large apples
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- Maple syrup to drizzle
- Nut butter
- Almond Flakes
- Coconut Flakes
- Peel and core both apples. Chop them into bite-sized pieces.
- Add quinoa, almond milk and apples to a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce to simmer for 20 – 25 minutes. The apples will be soft and the quinoa will have absorbed the water.
- Stir in cinnamon and transfer mixture to two bowls.
- Drizzle with maple syrup and any desired toppings
