4 of the best places to visit in Asia

From the awe-inspiring landscapes to the fantastic food and rich culture, Asia has plenty to offer travellers. Yet with so many amazing places across the continent – how do you choose where to visit?

Here, we’ll dive into four of the best places to explore in Asia to help you decide where to head first.

  1. Tokyo

Japan’s capital, Tokyo, is a must-visit for any intrepid traveller. Its skyline is truly a sight to behold, packed full of towering skyscrapers and bright lights with Mount Fuji in the distance.

To get a great view of the city, head to the Tokyo Skytree observation deck for a 360-degree panoramic view. Then, immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle at the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, sample omakase sushi at Sushi Tokyo Ten, or visit the Meiji Jingu shrine for some tranquillity.

If the great outdoors is your thing, you could head on a tour to explore the beautiful Lake Kawaguchi and the iconic Mount Fuji, or meander through the peaceful Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

  1. Vietnam

Vietnam is a picture-perfect country with plenty of great things to do and see. Those that love the bright lights of the city should dead to the famous Ho Chi Minh City to experience its fast-paced charm.

Sample some of the fantastic street food and explore iconic sights such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, Jade Emperor Pagoda, and Tao Dan Park.

If you’re a nature lover, Vietnam tours can take you on a journey to explore some of the incredible landscapes on offer, from the looming mountains to sandy beaches and lush paddy fields. There truly is something for everyone!

  1. South Korea

South Korea is another fantastic destination you should add to your bucket list! It’s got the perfect mix of traditional and modern life and offers beautiful sprawling countryside, majestic mountains, and coastal plains to enjoy.

Immerse yourself in the Korean culture by visiting some of the historic temples, such as Haeinsa in Gayasan National Park, Tongdosa near Yangsan, or Gagwonsa in Cheonan.

Then, head to the bustling capital city, Seoul, where you’ll find neon-lit skyscrapers, street markets, and more. You could have some fun at the Lotte World theme park, explore the National Museum of Korea, or take a stroll through Cheonggyecheon Park.

  1. Thailand

Thailand is a wonderfully diverse country, with everything from bright and bustling cities to serene islands and quiet beaches. Of course, a trip to Thailand wouldn’t be complete without diving into the vibrant Bangkok – where you can jump in a tuk-tuk to find fantastic restaurants or hop in a longboat to see the sites from the water.

If your idea of heaven is a tropical paradise, head to the islands of Koh Tao, Koh Samui, or Koh Phangan where you’ll find white sands and bright blue waters.

Or, if you prefer the mountains, travel north to Chiang Mai where you can explore Buddhist temples or get up close and personal with the elephants at one of the rescue and rehabilitation centres.
